I’m utterly digging the Easy Star All Stars right now. My esteemed colleage Mr. Rudkin introduced us to Dub Side Of The Moon a couple of months ago - Pink Floyd’s trillion-selling behemoth done in its entirety through the medium of dub reggae.
The great and mysteriously troubled Syd Barrett is dead. I’m too young to remember the era when he was the madcap frontman of Pink Floyd, but I have long been aware that he was a recluse - missing for twenty years, until it turned out he lived with his mother.
Several pints of lager, immeasurable stress, and 2 geeks biting their nails in Brown’s in Hockley, Nottingham. Malarkey and Colly.

So, I’m working on a very laborious project that is taking months to get through, and I’m finding one of the few things that is helping me is the music of Sigur Rós. Some of you know of my allegiance to Iceland, that I lived there for a while, and also that I’ve loved Sigur Rós for about eight years.
Music channel VH1 are currently asking us to vote for the nation’s favourite lyric. They have offered up 100 lyrical slices from 100 of the greatest songs ever, and as you’d expect, some of the choices are spot on, and some are way off.
