Yes, they keep coming - 64 sets thus far. You saw the first 23 submissions, then a further 19, and now I present the last few. Any that arrive in the next 24 hours will also be added to this post.
After I previewed the first 23 submissions yesterday, a further 19 landed in my inbox today. Again, it’s a mixed bag, and I’m really starting to warm to some of them now. You’ve until the 25th if you wish to submit a logo, but do scan the rules and background first. As always, your feedback is welcomed…
Closing date is the 25th June, but after sharing the first 23 submissions with the boys in the office, I was keen to get some feedback from you lot. Some are great, some maybe not so, and one is an in-joke.
Ah, yes. A man (or woman, equality fans) who is tired of CSS is tired of life. So thinks German fellow Timo Wirth.
We’re getting a lot of questions about Simplified Standards at the moment, and I’ll release the aims and objectives of the website and introduce the team in the next week or so. In the meantime, you can help.
Coming very soon to your browser wil be Simplified Standards, a collaborative site from several well-known bloggers eager to bring some clarity and simplicity to the minefield of web standards and accessibility. I won’t say any more about the aims and objectives right now, but I can confirm that we need a logo. If you’re interested in submitting a design, read on.
I expect @media has given all attendees much food for thought. Two days of intensive web standards and accessibility waffle has left me both excited and concerned about the future of our industry.
Quick news. As the official BC mechanic, I think I can say that we have just launched the Black Convoy website, beginning with a “yellow” June 2005 issue featuring themed responses from the thirteen convoyers.
I hated this whilst everyone was at SXSW - now I get to do it. Tumbleweeds ‘round here? Yeah, I know. Been busy launching new sites (more details soon - just letting them bed in first), seeing great films (go see Sin City - it’s wonderful) and generally catching up with life.
Collaboration is a buzzword we can’t ignore in web design at the moment. At a time when many web agencies are little more than an amalgamation of freelancers, it’s interesting to see this collective seizing the zeitgeist and pushing the envelope so fast it bursts into flames and singes the fingers of all who view it.
