Stanley Samuel Collison, 3rd October 1913 - 15th April 2007. Few had such an historically significant and eventful war as you. I’ll miss the stories about The Battle of El Alamain and your role on the Eighth Army campaigns. I’ll miss you telling me about looking after Winston Churchill (who you didn’t like) and later liberating Rome (not single-handedly, of couse, but with the Royal Irish Fusiliers).
My great friend of 28 years Lee has just sent me this scan detailing the origins of my family name. He’s offered to trace the Collison family tree as a gift to my long-suffering Dad who is seriously ill.
Bear-Face (the cat) and I would like to wish all readers, friends and clients the warmest and fuzziest of seasonal greetings. It has been a tough year in many respects, but the hard work has been worth it, and it is finally time for a few days of rest.
Almost two months after I made it known that I was moving on, I can finally reveal all. I’m delighted to announce that I am now running a brand new web design and development agency. Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce you to Erskine.
Yes, collylogic.com is dead. Long live www.colly.com. I’ve been sitting on this domain for two months, since the incredibly generous Shawn over at Darkest Web offered it to me in exchange for a small amount of CSS work (which I still owe him).
Right. No more commenting on this website for the foreseeable future. I am being comment-spammed to fuckery, and unless I enable captchas, it will clearly continue.
Brrrr! It ain’t half getting cold out, and Autumn feels more like Winter if you ask me. At this time of year it is important to keep well fed and ward off any nasty colds and flus. For my money, nothing beats a good, hearty English stew - and plenty of it!
It seems the guest author’s articles don’t “ping” unless I follow up with one of my own, so I’ll take this opportunity to link up a few reviews of Beginning CSS Web Development. Currently scoring 5/5 on both Amazon US and UK, plus today a great review and 9/10 appeared on the mighty Pixelsurgeon…
Last week, in an attempt offset the mammoth workload and do something without pixels, I assembled all of my gig tickets from the last fifteen years.
Today was my last day at Agenzia, after four very happy years. I’m sad to be leaving, but I’m taking many great memories and lasting friendships away with me.
